I, of course, recommend all of the games on my gaming page, but most of those are fairly well known. I want this page to serve as a place where people can find games they may have never heard of before. Some of the games on this list are not especially obscure, but there is a decent chance you might not have played it yet, and hopefully this will be the little push it takes to get you to try it! Please let me know of any obscure games/hidden gems you enjoy that I might not know about!

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg is a game released by Sega for the Nintendo Gamecube. It was developed by Sonic Team and is one of the most charming and vibrant titles on the platform, which is saying a lot. What would be a standard 3D platformer is deeply enhanced by the egg rolling mechanics, which lead to innovative and responsive gameplay. I love this game dearly and highly suggest you give it a chance. There is also a pc version, but I do not think it is being actively distributed on any official platform, so you might have trouble finding it.

Flywrench
Flywrench is a game that if you have heard of it, I'd guess it was in one of two ways. This game's playable character, the titular Flywrench, was featured in Super Meat Boy as a playable character in that game. The other way you may have heard of it is if you have played the developer's other, more well known game Nidhogg. Either way, the game itself is a remarkable, fast pace precision game. It is not exactly a platformer, as there are no platforms and you can fly freely. The challenge of the game comes from navigating tight spaces quickly without touching the walls or obstacles. If you are a fan of games with satisfying movement and a rewarding challenge, this game is a must play.

Mosa Lina
Mosa Lina is one of the most interesting and refreshing gaming experiences I have had the pleasure of experiencing. It is all about utilizing its simple and distinct tools to solve randomized challenges in a near infinite number of possible combinations. The goal of the game is to touch, or remove, all fruit from the level. The novel gameplay comes from the fact that you are equipped with three tools from a pool of options that is shuffled at the start of every seed. The tools themselves can be as simple as shooting boxes to stack or outright deleting an element of the level, but with how many possible scenarios are present, dozens of hours of enjoyment can be yielded from this formula.

Artis Impact
This game is different from the others here in the fact that it is not yet released. There currently exists a demo on steam, which is absolutely stunning. I have played through the demo multiple times, as it occasionally recieves updates, and have logged over 8 hours into it. It is a turn based rpg where the main selling point is the game's unique and breathtaking visual style. The pixel animation is all hand drawn, frame by frame, and interactions take place in manga panel styled scenes. There is so much charm present, and if you can overlook some occasional odd dialogue, the writing is largely very enjoyable as well.

Kero Kero Keroppi No Daibouken 2
This game is one of my favorite Famicom games. It is not especially groundbreaking and I'd be lying if I said it was a must play gaming experience, but it is a game that is delightful and joyous. Much like the character of Keroppi himself, this game is very cute and does not need much explanation. It is a simple platformer with easy to understand mechanics and an enjoyable soundtrack. The "boss fights" are all little minigames like rock paper scissors or memory.

Ilomilo
Ilomilo is a wonderful little darling of a puzzle game in which you control Ilo and Milo alternately. Your goal is to unite them on every level by using one of the characters to help remove obstacles in the other's path until eventually, they meet. The game also has a beautiful romantic narrative that blossoms as you collect the scraps of the story in each level. This game released on the Xbox 360, but since has been ported to pc via the microsoft store.

Link to harmonyzone Unfortunately, if I link the game page directly, the music does not play, so just click it from this list, or check out some other games here too.

Ufouria: The Saga 2
Ufouria 2 is a sequel to a Famicom game by Sunsoft. This game is a very cute and enjoyable platformer with randomized elements to the levels, keeping the game fresh throughout its admittedly short runtime. The art and music in this game are quite lovable, and the gameplay is simplistic but satisfying. It does not boast tremendous depth or a groundbreaking narrative, but it does not aim to. It is a little game that achieves all it wants to, and quite well at that.

Bakeru
This is one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had in my entire life. I love this game with all my heart. The amount of polish and care that went into every inch of this game is astounding. Bakeru is a game by Good Feel that initially released in Japan on the Nintendo Switch. It has since been localized for western audiences and also released on Steam. It is a 3D action platformer with some of the most engaging and unique levels in any game I have ever seen. I cannot stress enough how every level boasts so much variety and the game is constantly introducing new concepts. If you have any interest in Japanese culture, 3D video games, or even just meaningful experiences, please give this game a look.
