Entry 5

Feeling pretty miserable and bitter about life at the moment. Not really much worse going on than usual I guess, but I just feel really suffocated by the negativity a lot more than usual. The only times I am truly happy are when I am being left alone to immerse myeslf into media I cherish, or when I am on a call with a close friend. Even the slightest disruptions can catastrophically tank my mental for the day. Feeling very unproductive as well, even having troubles playing the video games I am trying to finish, as I do not have the mental acuity to devote my full attention to them. Like psychonauts 2 for example, I am enjoying it so much that I do not want to waste a minute of it on a day where I am not really present. This leads to a vicious cycle where I am not doing anything and want to find a game to play, but all my options are games I do not want to play when I am feeling like this, so I end up just doing nothing for large chunks of the day. Thinking about replaying Symphony of the Night soon as a nice comfort game.

Video Game Music

If you are looking for a playlist of assorted video game music, you can have mine if you'd like. This is by no means a comprehensive list of all the video game music I like, or even that these songs are especially meaningful to me, but I just add songs when I either find new ones I like, or old ones I forgot to put in here. Large sections of this playlist are big chunks all from one game, so the playlist is best experienced on shuffle. Unfortunately, youtube's shuffle functionality is kind of unimaginably bad, so good luck I guess. Genuinely no meaningful order to this list, and any songs not present are not songs I like less than the ones present.

Here.

Currently listening to the Nier OST. It is insane how good it is. If you haven't played the Nier games, you really are missing out. I'd say play whichever seems more personally interesting to you first, however, Nier Replicant is my favorite. A series like Nier is one that reminds you why you play video games in the first place. Nier Automata came out at a time where I was feeling really negative about the industry and new games releasing. It is one of my favorite series to this day and I hope we get to see more soon.

I think that's all I have for you for today.
