Currently, there is a playtest going on for an umpcoming fighting game called Scramble Heart City. It is by the same developers of the fighting game Tough Love Arena. The game seems super cool, it's the first time a playtest is happening for it since I heard about it, but I believe there have been several prior. If you are reading this, and interested in playing some friendlies with me during the playtest, hit me up either on Discord (username: spondulio) or my email, sponduliocity@gmail.com
I played through Hollow Knight Silksong this past week. I won't spoil anything about it, but my takeaway after finishing the game is that I don't think it's very good. That is not to say there is not excellent content in it, but there is a lot of content that is just worse than the first game in many ways. I frankly wouldn't recommend the game to literally anyone. That opinion does not seem to be especially popular though, so if you are interested in playing it, don't let me dissuade you.
There was a Nintendo Direct this morning that I did not enjoy in the slightest. No news on Rhythm Heaven Groove, a ton of info about existing games, and nothing new that really grabbed me. I am finding it less and less likely that I will ever own a switch 2 at this rate. Maybe this entire console generation (PS5, XBSX, Switch 2) is one I will not experience. The only way they're getting me is if there's an exclusive nier game on something.
With playing through Silksong and then also watching Grayfruit play through it after I was sure I was far enough ahead that I wouldn't be spoiled, I have not engaged with basically any creative endeavors since the game launched. The closest thing is when I made crayon drawings while waiting in the lobby at my psychiatrist's office LOL. Really a look that screams "sanity" when I am making deformed self portraits in crayon. As such, I have also completely fallen off of working on this site again, despite just returning from a hiatus. I know I have said this time and time again in these entries, but I also have some things in the works that are still a surprise, so I can't talk about them, but do be reassured; they exist.
Short one today, but that's all I have for you.
