Fan Edit
I just finished uploading a video I made to Youtube. It is a fan edit of a stream by grayfruit. He played "viewer submitted games" and I have wanted to try making a fan edit for a while and finally just decided to go for it. I finished the video a few days ago but have been unsure if I wanted to upload it publicly or not, out of an irrational fear of having done something wrong, like forgetting to credit someone or making an editing mistake or something like that. I ultimately just decided that I should upload it, since I already made it and maybe someone could get some enjoyment out of it. If you are a fan of grayfruit, or even just interested in a video to watch, please give it a look.
Fightcade
I played fighting games with my friend O-Range on Fightcade today. I was stoked to play some fighting games for the first time in quite a while, other than Melee which is really something else entirely and does not really scratch the same itch. Unfortunately, there was a rollback issue that made it pretty impossible to play much. The problem is SO bizarre. When we loaded into the game, I would get a ton of rollbacks early on, with him teleporting all over. Then as we played, the rollbacks would clear up on my end but then get much worse on his end to the point of being unplayable. The issue was only present on games we were using FB Neo for, EXCEPT the game Rabbit, which worked perfectly for some reason. Very much a bummer to have the session be cut short and generally problem ridden the whole time anyway. I really hope we are able to find a solution for next time.
Neocities
Sorry for the lack of updates here, and even more sorry that I don't that is going to change any time soon. I have had very little motivation recently and not a lot of ideas, even if I was motivated. I'd love to work on the site, make pages look better, just general upgrades, but I really do not know where to start and graphic design is a lot less fun for me than the actual programming so I have just been putting everything off. I really appreciate everyone who likes these updates and continues visiting the site.
OH I just remembered, one idea I had for the site a while ago but never acted upon was an idea where periodically, I would interview another Neocities user about their experiences with making their site, their inspirations, and stuff like that. I thought it would be a really good way to connect with other people here, but I didn't know how to go about putting the idea out there and getting people who were interested. If you are reading this and have made your own website, let me know if you would be interested in having a conversation with me. I was thinking of naming the project CorreSpondence and hosting it on Sponduliocity as maybe a monthly thing or something. Not sure if this will come to fruitition, but I thought the idea sounded cool so I am glad I am at least getting it down here.
I made a new song recently, but have not uploaded it to the music page yet. It is a cover of Gnossiene No. 1 in the Pikmin 2 Soundfont. I'll get around to uploading it eventually but probably not tonight. It was very fun working on music again after so long of not really doing anything creative. I also have some physical drawings I made that I have been meaning to scan. Maybe next week I'll push a small content update. Felt really good to make this fan edit though. I love creating things so much, I wish I had more energy and discipline.
I finished watching Lain recently. i really enjoyed it. The series was very different that I thought it would be but was sick nonetheless. If you have not seen it, give it a look. The full title is Serial Experiments: Lain, so search that if you want to find it.

Instead of a site of the day, I want to shout out a youtube channel. They are a channel that produces grayfruit fan edit videos and a big inspiration that led me to make one of my own. I have been watching grayfruit basically since he started making content and seeing what an amazing contribution joopii has made to this community made me want to contribute something too. Her edits are so consistently good and their output rate is so impressive. Please give their channel a look, even if you have no idea who grayfruit is.
