Programming

I wrote the RPG test game today in one sitting. Was very fun to sink my teeth into a complex coding challenge like that for the first time in so long. I have been having fun making this whole site, but compared to making that rpg today, the rest of this site has been baby business to make. One thing I really loved about working in JavaScript was the global scope of var elements. I was trying to figure out how to pass my const elements to every function I was using and it was getting rough, so reading that var elements have a global scope was a lifesaver. Have not used a let yet, so maybe I will need one for my next project lol. If you are reading this and have done basic web development, but never really tackled something like programing a game before, even a simple, one, I highy recommend it. It is a fun and engaging way to practice programming without too much pressure. Give the rpg a try if you haven't, you can get there on the sitemap. I have not linked it anywhere else on the site yet, as I have no idea where to put it. Most of my main pages already have little offshoots so maybe I'll save it to hide somewhere in the future.

Neocities

I am so blown away that I hit 4000 views by the end of the year. I had no real concept of how many views the site would get when I started, but it has certainly exceeded what I thought it would be. I also, moreso than the views, am very grateful for the people that follow the site and like my updates. Just having any sort of engagement makes it feel like your work is being seen, so thank you for any engagement. I am finding so many cool sites here. It seems like there is no shortage of creativity on here, and so many of the people are so interesting.

Podcast

If you have not heard, the first episode of the podcast I am on has aired. I don't really know how it is doing numbers wise, as Ted handles that stuff. But one of my irl friends listened to it, and that's so cool. If you are interested in it, check it out. (linked on my homepage)

Buttons

It has been really nice adding everyone's buttons. Feels very cool to get to link the people that support me. Whenever someone follows me, I rush over to their site to see if they have a button. I would link sites that I follow, even if they don't follow me, but I don't ever want to link someone if they don't want me to, so I'd prefer to keep my buttons to people that folow me.

Ok I got majorly distracted watching meat's stream and I can't concentrate on this lol

That's all I have for you for today.
